Impact on us

Kanye West’s music helped me get through the last miserable year of high school. Songs such as “ Use This Gospel”, “Lord I need You”, “Ultralight Beam” and etc, are all very beautiful tracks which made me very hopeful of the future. “ Through the Wire” in particular is an inspiring song to me. The song is about Kanye’s card accident and how he persevered through it for his dreams, but that is not why I find it inspiring. I’m impressed with how Kanye edited the sample audio, it’s a beautiful soul tune, but quickly shifts into R&B/Hip hop track. Kanye’s versatility and creativity to switch between these mediums amazes and inspires me.
